DragonSprouts has a new and exciting program to help grow the LAUSD Mandarin Immersion pathway

We Support the K-12 MI Pipeline

 

Youth Programs

Leadership, volunteering, and scholarship opportunities, big brother/sister mentorship program, and homework help, which earns volunteer hours (The President’s Service Award, Scout Service credits, HS Community Service hours).

Art & Culture

Cultural celebrations & enrichments on-campus and cross-campuses. Opportunities to utilize Mandarin ouside of the classroom through Arts (music, theater, cooking, etc.).

Classroom and Career Support

Providing support (TAs, learning resources, etc.) to MI classroom instructions. Opportunities for older students to shadow various professions and internships.

Online Learning

Subscriptions to online learning programs and language tools such as eStroke, Skritter and Better Chinese Online.

Teacher Help

Fees for teacher conferences and assistance paying for field trips and a UCLA Tie-Ins Coordinator who sources unique, academically rigorous and enriching opportunities.

 

The President’s Volunteer Service Award

Volunteer through DragonSprouts and receive recognition from the President of the United States. Must be 5 and above to participate. Track your hours with our service hour log. Submit your hours to nihao@dragonsprouts.org.
